It focuses on the first copyright act, 300 years ago, which in my views was a very beneficial thing. Today it is very different. The hope is that we will have a discussion focusing on first principles, rather than just one the current copyright act. The Government is going to review the law next year, and ideally we want to persuade them not to just do a tinkering – but to have a fundamental look at what should be the balance between creator and user rights in the digital age.
