We need evidence on the TPPA, not spin

The government’s introduction of the National Interest Analysis (NIA) into Parliament shows a disregard for sound and objective analysis as a basis for treaty-making. The NIA shows that government is continuing to try to sell the TPPA, not to provide balanced arguments.

The Spokesperson for It’s Our Future – Kiwis against the TPPA, Barry Coates, commented: “The government has an obligation to provide accurate and objective information to Parliament on the treaties being proposed. They have clearly failed to do so on the TPPA.”
